KITCHEN RENTAL FOR COMMERCIAL USERS

If you are an established or aspiring food entrepreneur and looking for licensed kitchen space, Maple Street Kitchen welcomes you.  Below, you will find our basic policies and application to get you started, but please reach out if you have specific needs not covered in our current documents.


Rental prices are outlined in the Shared Use Agreement below and are structured to encourage farms and other micro-processors relying on locally grown produce for their products. 

Everyone’s needs are unique in terms of licensing, scheduling, equipment and storage. As Maple Street Kitchen gets started, we are flexible and willing to work with you to support the success of your business venture. 
 

Low Ceiling Kitchen

KITCHEN RENTAL FOR INDIVIDUAL OR NON-COMMERCIAL USERS

Want to spend a day in somebody else’s kitchen processing your seafood catch?  Drowning in berries but don’t have the equipment for jamming at home? Wanting homemade pickles but just don’t have the gumption to do it at home alone? Or wanting to introduce your kids, your 4H club or scout troop to food preservation but need more space?  Maple Street Kitchen is available for families, clubs, and friends for ½ day and full-day use.  Individual users will need to complete a kitchen orientation prior to using the space.

COPACKING

If you have an abundance of produce and a great recipe but no time to make it, Maple Street Kitchen may be able to license and produce your recipe, so that you can bring it to market. 

Kitchen

Currently Maple Street Kitchen is equipped with the following for shared use:

  • Class A water and sanitary sewer line through City of Port Angeles utilities.

  • Grease trap.

  • 110v and 240v power outlets.

  • Limited on-site trash and composting.

  • Triple sink, produce sink and mop sink.

  • ADA friendly bathroom.

Portable equipment for maximum flexibility as you set up your processing line includes:

  • stainless steel work tables and induction and propane stove tops

  • Canning pots and miscellaneous equipment for water bath canning

  • Pressure canners

  • Commercial refrigeration

  • Storage shelves for dry ingredients and equipment in between kitchen use

  • Excalibur Dehydrator

  • Apple Press

  • Hobart slicer/shredder

  • Various smallwares

  • 2 gallon Crazy Kimchee Fermentation vessels

  • Storage for finished product may be available depending on space needed.

*Baking: Additional equipment will be added as the need arises to the bullet list, and delete the rest of that section, making all of the text in that section part of the bullet list.
